Developed CORA (Care Oriented Robot Assistant), winning first place for technical innovation and social impact. Built real-time computer vision system using YOLOv5 and Neuphonic's text-to-speech API - engineering a high-performance architecture for real-world deployment


Appointed ‘Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People’ Ambassador,
in collaboration with Samsung,
IOC and IPC

Paris 2024 Olympics

Ramneek represented Samsung UK as a Solve for Tomorrow winner 2022 at the Paris 2024 Olympics and was appointed one of nine global ‘Together for Tomorrow, Enabling People’ ambassadors, in partnership with Samsung, the IOC and the IPC.

She was also selected to present her story in front of Thomas Bach, the President of the IOC, Andrew Parsons, the President of the IPC, YH Lee, President and Head of Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics and President of Samsung Electronics Europe Office Il-kyung Sung.


‘Generation Change’ Campaign

In collaboration with CNN and Samsung

Ramneek was selected out of all the international Samsung Solve for Tomorrow winners to be featured as part of Samsung’s and CNN’s ‘Generation Change’ campaign. The campaign spotlighted Ramneek’’s story and her dedication and commitment to advocate for the visually impaired community, with not only her invention MyVision but also working with organizations like the All-Parliamentary Group and the Thomas Pocklington Trust.

Ramneek was shortlisted for the TechWomen100 awards 2022, for her incredible passion and drive to not only advocate for the visually impaired community, but to design transformative and innovative technology based solutions that would transform people’s lives for the better.


Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2023
Launch Event

Ramneek was invited to speak on a panel alongside Reggie Yates , Harnaam Kaur, Jordan Stephens and Reuben Christian, to launch the Samsung Electronics Solve for Tomorrow Competition 2023. She shared her journey through the Solve for Tomorrow Competition 2022 and her future hopes for the development of MyVision.


Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition 2022

Winner

Ramneek was crowned Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow Competition winner 2022, out of 500 participants nationally, with her invention MyVision, a groundbreaking technology enabled white cane for the visually impaired and blind. MyVision offers a significant leap forward in independence and safety, empowering users to navigate their surroundings with newfound confidence.


Thomas Pocklington Trust -
All Parliamentary Group

Ramneek was invited to speak alongside Thomas Pocklington Trust at the All Party Parliamentary Group on Eye Health and Visual Impairment led by MP Marsha De Cordova and organised by RNIB. Regarding support provided for young people in education with a visual impairment. She shared the challenges she has faced along the way and the perseverance, determination and resilience that has enabled her to achieve what she has to date.
